Challenge

As Brave expanded its ecosystem beyond its flagship browser to include premium products like VPN subscriptions, AI tools, and a self-serve advertising platform, it needed a way to support cryptocurrency payments across all offerings—without compromising its core values around privacy, performance, and user control. While traditional payment methods remain part of their infrastructure, Brave needed a crypto-native billing solution that could sit alongside existing methods and give users, advertisers, and businesses more choice in how they paid. Additionally, Brave required support for its own token, BAT (Basic Attention Token), to deepen integration across its ecosystem and offer a seamless way for users to spend earned rewards on Brave products.

Solution

Radom provided Brave with a unified crypto payment and billing solution that enabled seamless transactions across the full Brave product suite. By combining Radom’s high-converting hosted checkout with automated crypto subscriptions, Brave was able to support recurring payments for Brave VPN, one-time payments for businesses of Brave Ads, subscription payments for premium AI features—all through a secure, intuitive user interface. This setup allowed Brave to bring cryptocurrency into the user experience in a way that was fast, private, and easy to manage internally, while ensuring a consistent flow from user payment to settlement. At the heart of the integration is Radom’s Crypto Convert feature, which allows Brave to automatically settle incoming crypto payments—including BAT—into stablecoins like USDC in real time. This eliminated concerns around price volatility while maintaining a smooth user experience. Whether a customer is paying in ETH, USDC, or BAT, the funds are instantly converted and credited to Brave’s balance, creating a predictable and efficient revenue stream across all product lines. To manage those balances and access funds in fiat, Brave uses Radom’s on/off-ramp to move stablecoins directly into its treasury bank accounts. Whether in USD or EUR, funds can be withdrawn seamlessly through local and international banking rails. This gives Brave a streamlined way to manage cash flow, fund operations, and run its business—without needing to engage multiple providers or manually convert assets.Radom’s platform works in the background through a single dashboard and API, supporting recurring billing, one-time invoicing, and premium checkout experiences that feel native to the Brave brand. Allowing Brave to maintain its user-first approach while extending more payment flexibility to users and advertisers alike.

Results

By integrating Radom, Brave unlocks flexible and compliant crypto payment infrastructure that complements its existing fiat billing systems. VPN subscriptions now run on automated recurring billing via crypto, advertisers can top up campaigns from wallets or exchanges, and users can pay for AI tools and other services using a range of digital assets—including BAT.Radom’s Crypto Convert feature ensured every transaction settled quickly into stablecoins, while its on/off-ramp enabled Brave to manage treasury operations easily. The result is a frictionless, global payment experience that aligns with Brave’s product strategy, and unlocked new monetisation opportunities. With Radom as its crypto payment partner, Brave continues to build a modern, decentralised financial layer into its platform—empowering users with more choice while staying true to its values of speed, privacy, and control.`
