Nigel Farage’s Reform UK has begun accepting cryptocurrency donations, becoming the first major political party in the UK and Europe to do so. The move, powered by Radom’s licensed crypto payments infrastructure, signals a shift in how digital assets may intersect with political fundraising. Farage also announced plans to introduce a “Cryptoassets and Digital Finance Bill” if elected.

Reform UK has become the first political party in Europe to accept cryptocurrency donations. Announced by party leader Nigel Farage at the Bitcoin 2025 conference in Las Vegas, the new fundraising channel is powered by ourselves here at Radom.

Supporters can now contribute to the party using major cryptocurrencies, with infrastructure provided to ensure compliance and security. This marks a notable shift in political engagement in the UK, where traditional parties such as Labour and the Conservatives continue to rely on fiat-based fundraising models.

Radom CEO Chris Wilson commented:

"We’re excited to be working with Reform UK on this initiative. We appreciate Nigel Farage’s efforts in drawing attention to the issue of debanking in the UK, and we’re pleased to see a major political party embrace crypto. We hope this encourages broader adoption in the UK and helps drive progress toward clearer regulatory frameworks—something that we see as vital for sustainable industry growth.”

Farage’s announcement also included a proposal to introduce a Cryptoassets and Digital Finance Bill aimed at providing greater regulatory clarity for the digital asset sector in the UK. He further expressed support for the Bank of England holding Bitcoin as a reserve asset while opposing the introduction of a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC)—positions that reflect an increasingly visible debate around the future of national finance infrastructure.

The move comes at a time when UK regulators, including under the current Labour government, have been exploring ways to establish the country as a safe and regulated environment for crypto innovation. However, as of yet no other major political party in the UK has yet signalled their intent to embrace cryptocurrency as a formal fundraising channel.

As regulatory, technological, and political trends continue to evolve, Reform UK’s adoption of crypto donations may set a precedent for how digital assets intersect with democratic participation in the years ahead.
